Description:
A well-constructed floor, hanging, and table-top display with accents depicting the show theme “ Orchids in the Wild”, approximately 22 feet long by 8 feet tall, with 125 quality Orchids representing 26 genera including Cattleya, Dendrobium, Coelogyne, Bletilla, Leptotes, Phalaenopsis, Brassia, Maxillaria, Cymbidium, Vanda, and Masdevallia; color flow was fluid from left to right: red to orange to yellow to white in the center, graduating to pinks and lavenders and blues on the right, all against a black background. The back side of the display was an educational exhibit with boards describing various aspects of Orchid culture. This exhibit included the Best in Show Leptotes bicolor; and an HCC/AOS was awarded for a Cattleya jongheana forma alba, and a CCM/AOS was awarded to a stunning Bletilla striata.
